I understand there to be more people curious about the Lobstamonkee thing than understand the Lobstamonkee thing, and as it seems to take me long fits between productive starts, that curiosity remains unsated.
For those of you still watch antique programming, there are several titles that can give you insight into the whole Lobstamonkee thing. I thought I’d assemble a list of them for those looking for recommendations.
#1 - Deadwood (HBO)
When my attention-snitch went to Twitter, this was there to remind me to write this list. I had been about to launch the Deadwood Intensive (examining archetypal relationship via watchparty + analysis) when the laptop died and that will be restored to front burner at some point.
#2 - Network
I go looking for an image or something to add to this entry in the list, only to discover that tomorrow is the anniversary of it’s release.
#3 - Newsroom
Even if you never knew the name of the series, you might have seen this clip:
#4 - Succession
On one hand, it’s mainly the story of why all the local News stations say the same thing set to commercials for really really expensive stuff, but it’s also good enough for spawn the Twitter account featured above.
#5 - White Christmas (Black Mirror)
This recommendation probably should have been higher in the list, just in case you get the new Oculus Meta Quest Pro for Christmas.
#6 - Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues
If you’re going to watch a ‘how it happened’ documentary about the downfall of your society, might as well make it a funny one.
#7 - Demolition Man
Pretty sure Sandra Bullock is the Harbinger of our particular Apocalypse, consult the filmography.
#8 - 12 Monkeys
By then you’ll be ready for the one that ties it all together.
